The new president of CNN, Connecticut native Chris Licht, held one of those dangerous town hall meetings Thursday and most of the news coming out of it centers on the 9p.m. hour once held by Chris Cuomo. Licht says he hopes to have a permanent solution to the empty slot by fall, but this summer plans to experiment before making a final decision.

As expected, Karine Jean-Pierre has been named as the next White House press secretary. She will replace Connecticut native Jen Psaki who is leaving next Friday and is expected to take on a new role as a host at MSNBC.

Former NBC CT investigative reporter Grant Stinchfield, who is now a host at Newsmax, got some attention this week by accusing recently confirmed Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson of being the source of the leak of the draft abortion decision to Politico. He had no evidence, mind you, and did not seem to care that she is not currently on the court and isn’t scheduled to be sworn in until next month.

Lee Enterprises, the newspaper chain that fought off a buyout attempt by Alden Global Capital(owner of the Hartford Courant) last year, is reporting growth in digital revenue, but is being criticized by some of its employees for laying off staff.
