FOX CT is cancelling its 11 am newcast but expanding its morning news programming. The station will now be the first in the market to offer 5-1/2 straight hours of news in the morning.
Beginning this Monday the newscast will extend through 10 am. Logan Byrnes will anchor the 4:30 a.m. half hour with meteorologist Joe Furey; Erika Arias will join them from 5 to 10 a.m.
With traffic reporter Rachel Lutzker going on maternity leave, Meteorologist Rachel Frank will join Logan, Erika and Joe from 8 to 10 a.m., but will not do traffic as those duties will go to Michael Garofalo (a.k.a. Prolifik from KISS 95.7). Rachel will have weather duties during the 4 pm newscast, and Geoff Fox will cover the weekday 10 and 11 pm newscasts.
I thought Sarah French left the station, but I have seen her
on the 10pm news reporting. I was just wondering what is
going on. I am glad Geoff Fox is on the staion.
