The Laurel has learned three reporters; Eva Zymaris, Brittany Schaefer, and Jayne Chacko have decided to leave WTNH-News 8 in New Haven.
The departures appear to be voluntary and the timing coincidental.
We are told Zymaris has taken a position with the state Department of Transportation, Schaefer is going to the state Department of Public Health, and Chacko is joining NBC Connecticut is a similar role. Additionally, one member of the station’s management team is leaving. The circumstances of that exit are unknown.
WTNH is owned by Nexstar Media Group.
