Carl Adamec, who covered University of Connecticut women’s basketball for nearly forty years(for the Journal Inquirer and Hearst Connecticut Media), has died at the age of 68. The news broke on CT Insider Tuesday evening.
Adamec, a graduate of Putnam(CT) High School, was inducted into the United States Basketball Writers Association Hall of Fame in 2023. During his time at the JI he was recognized by the Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association and Connecticut American Legion Baseball.
