For years now many media watchers have been asking; “What happened to Maria Bartiromo?” The question was asked in context of the comparison between her role as respected business journalist at CNBC and her transformation into a reality challenged supporter of President Trump at Fox Business.
Now the question is being asked in a different context. What happened to Maria Bartiromo?
Thursday it was announced that Fox has parted ways with the twelve year veteran of the network. No explanation was given and so far she hasn’t commented.
At Thursday’s White House news briefing Vice President Vance was asked if Bartiromo will be the next White House press secretary. Vance laughed, said he didn’t think so, and then admitted he didn’t know.
Meanwhile, CBS News announced that Norah O’Donnell will be returning to co-host the morning show with Gayle King(WFSB) and Nate Burleson. This will be the second time around for the King/O’Donnell pairing. O’Donnell will continue to contribute to 60 Minutes.
