In case you missed it, two weeks ago CBS News announced another addition to the staff of its top-rated news magazine 60 Minutes.
Ariel Levy, a 1996 graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, and a current staff writer for The New Yorker, is joining 60 as a contributor. This brings to three the number of 60 Minutes correspondents with direct connections to Connecticut.
Author Sebastian Junger graduated from Wesleyan in 1984 and former New York Times opinion writer Ross Douthat is a New Haven resident who attended Hamden Hall for high school. Junger will be a contributor to 60 Minutes while Douthat is joining as a full correspondent. The show’s new season premieres September 13.
